I'm sure Dumbledore is celebrating the memory of socks with you. Or, at least he would be, were he still alive.
Dumbledore said: "I will have only truly left Hogwarts when none here are loyal to me!" Dumbledore is still alive, and kicking his feet with mismatched socks.
I'm going to purposefully mismatch socks today, to remember those that have lost their mates in a larger cause.
