National Inane Answering Message Day, January 30th

National Inane Answering Message Day

Unlike last year, this year the U.S. Census Bureau does not have a message for National Inane Answering Message Day. The U.S. Census Bureau employee with a sense of humor must have quit his job.

So, we must turn to other venues for Inane Answering Message Day hilarity, even if we think they didn't quite get the point of what an inane answering message is. Alors, we must just laugh at what we can.

I used to leave riddles like, "What do you call 20 rabbits in a line jumping backwards in unison?"

But some people started complaining about the bad jokes.

So I stopped.

My personal cell phone voicemail used to say "If you want me to call you back, you are going to need to persuade me." But, then someone forwarded a professional call to that phone and that call complained. So, now, it's just a boring "You have called..."

BTW, the answer whether you want to know it or not (or whether or already knew it or not) is: "A receding hare-line."
